Meet Sammy Grizzaffi

Sammy Grizzaffi spent more than 35 years serving the Houston community as a firefighter, showing up day after day for his community — often in its most difficult moments.

When it came time for a new chapter, Sammy did not slow down. He found a new way to keep doing what he loves: feeding people, bringing them together, and creating a place where everyone feels welcome.

Sammy G’s District 70 is the result of that passion. It is more than just a restaurant — it is his way of continuing to serve people, just in a different way now.

Built on hard work, heart, and a genuine love for people, Sammy G’s has become a place where locals feel at home.

Still Serving the Community

The firehouse taught Sammy the meaning of grit, teamwork, and showing up when it matters most. That same commitment lives on every day at Sammy G’s.

From the kitchen to the docks, Sammy G’s takes care of guests like family — with respect, hard work, and a whole lot of heart.

35+ Years of Service. A lifetime of heart.

From Bait Shop to Local Landmark

What started as an old bait shop on Taylor Bayou became a dream worth chasing. Sammy gutted, rebuilt, and transformed this waterfront location into the place locals know and love today.
